Short-Term Discussion: Pleasant with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s across the region. Air-quality readings are well within the good range at the moment and may remain there through tomorrow.
A chance of a stray shower early then becoming mainly clear overnight with some areas of fog forming by morning and temperatures expected to fall into the low to mid 50s. Becoming partly sunny with only a slight chance of a shower developing later in the afternoon or evening hours; temperatures for the first day of summer will be on the comfortable side rising to near 80 degrees. Friday’s ozone and fine-particulate concentrations should both reach the upper portions of the code GREEN (good) range.
Extended: We should swing back into southerly flow over the weekend. This should begin brining warmer more humid air into the region by Saturday though this is tempered by the chance of showers and thunderstorms. Air quality should move into the moderate range over the next day or so. Clouds and showers should prevent air-quality levels from deteriorating much further on Saturday and Sunday.
