Action Day?: No
Temperature: low 80s
Discussion:
A second cold front will approach the Lehigh Valley/Berks Area on Monday. Ahead of this front southwesterly flow will return to the region. This will increase the humidity slightly on Monday. As a result, particulate concentrations will likely rise back into the YELLOW (moderate) range. Ozone concentrations will also remain in the YELLOW (moderate) range on Monday. Showers and thunderstorms are possible with the passage of the front late on Monday.
Extended:
With the passage of the second cold front on Monday, a trough will develop over the eastern U.S. This will keep temperatures below normal as we head through the middle of next week. The weather also appears that it will be a little unsettled through the middle of next week. A few weak disturbances will ride around an upper level low that will be stationed to our north. The trough in the jet stream will also be located just to our south which will also help keep the weather a little unsettled. However, as a result of the unsettled weather, air quality will likely be good throughout the middle of next week.
